Outstanding GCSE PE results once again
In a recent independent review by the county advisor for Physical Education we were judged as an outstanding department. It was noted that ‘the overwhelming sense from students and from lessons observed is one of a high performing department, run by teachers that genuinely care about the progress their students make’. We were judged as an outstanding department.
Our 2016 results were:
84% A*-C
33% of our students achieved and A or A*
Our GCSE PE results consistently place us in the top three performing schools in the county.
A large number of our students go on to study sport at college and at University and many of Exeter’s PE teachers studied sport here at St. Peter’s
All students also have the opportunity to experience competition on sportsday when students represent their tutor groups in the following activities: athletics, handball, volleyball, netball, benchball and tag rugby.
