Monday 5th March

5 March 2018

Week beginning 5th March

It appears to be contagious! Signs are appearing in offices and rooms… Can it carry on over the next few weeks and beyond? Our 40acts Lent Challenge continues to gather pace. If you’re on the receiving end of an act can you…

This coming week we are focussing on GENEROSITY

Our Character Compass definition is:

GENEROSITYTrying always to be willing to give more than we absolutely have to, and to be more caring than people expect.

In Key Stage Assemblies we will be asking the question – HOW IMPORTANT IS KINDNESS?

Mr Randall and James Grier will be leading KS assemblies helping us think about the parable of “The Good Samaritan” (Luke 10:25-37)

Jesus told this story to answer the questions ‘Who is our neighbour?’ and ‘Who should we help?’ I wonder what we think the answer to the question is – who should we be kind towards? I believe that Jesus was teaching people that everyone is someone we should help and be kind towards. So this week who could we be kind to in words, or actions?

The QT for this week can be found here:

In this QT we look at the remarkable story of Rachel Beckwith. What started out as a small but very generous act of kindness ended up affecting 60,000 people! Hopefully our students will be inspired and act as a result of hearing Rachel’s story.

Father God, please can you help us today to notice when someone needs help? Help all of us to practise being kind and as a result to transform our community. Amen

God bless

Mr Baker
