Year 8 Options
This is a very important time in your child’s education when preparations are being made about the subjects and qualifications that they will study in year 9, 10 and 11.
Several subjects remain compulsory while others are chosen from a system of options. Students will study fewer subjects but in greater depth. Inevitably they will have to decide which subjects they wish to continue and which they will no longer study. We want to ensure that all students are given the best advice and guidance about the curriculum choices they make and this process begins with the Year 8 Options Introduction Evening on Thursday 7th December.
This booklet contains information about the curriculum from Year 9 onwards, and the options choices which are available
