5th February 2018
Week beginning 5th February
During the final week of half term we will have a focus on Safer Internet Use for two reasons – 1) Tuesday 6th February is National Safer Internet Day (!) and 2) We are increasingly aware of our responsibilities to help our young people understand how to stay safe online.
We will be holding Celebration of Achievement assemblies at the start of the week as we attempt to recognise some of the great things that go on in and out of St.Peter’s. On Wednesday and Thursday we will be thinking about the do’s and don’ts of social media.
There are 2 QT’s to support our thinking and they can be found here:
It’s important to remind our young people that everything they put online is there for the world to see. Often university admissions teams and potential employers will look at social networking profiles to find out more about individuals.
Heavenly Father, please help to keep us all safe when using the internet. Protect us when we see and hear upsetting things and help us to use the internet in respectful and generous ways. Amen
