18 November 2019

Week beginning 18th November

During this coming week we will continue looking at the theme of COMMUNITY with a particular focus on FORGIVENESS. Members of Trinity Church will be along to lead our assemblies on Thursday and Friday.

The topic of FORGIVENESS is always a difficult one but it is vital in a world that often seems set on revenge and retaliation. What would it look like if St.Peter’s was a place full of people willing to restore relationships when they become strained? What would it feel like to be part of a community that seeks to understand rather than seeking to retaliate? Our hope and pray is that St.Peter’s is a school of people who believe in and practise forgiveness on a daily basis.

The QT for this week introduces our students to Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham. Aaron has been in a wheelchair since the age of 8 but that hasn’t stopped him. He become an extreme wheelchair athlete and record breaker who performs tricks adapted from skateboarding and BMX. In the QT we look at how he overcome the obstacles he faced to become a record breaker.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, whilst we may face challenges in life, they may also be opportunities. Help us to make the most of each day and to realise our God-given potential.

God bless and have a great week!
