Week beginning 4th November
We hope and pray that the first week back wasn’t too much of a shock to the system! It was lovely welcoming all of our young people back and look forward to the rest of this half term. During the next 7 weeks we will be focussing on COMMUNITY. We’re conscious that this is a long and tiring half term and are aware that it may be a challenging one. We hope and pray that by focussing on things such as humility and forgiveness that we might be able to stay united in the face of challenges.
During this coming week Key Stage assemblies will be taken by myself and Jon Hancock from Belmont Chapel.
Our QT for this week focuses on rugby (I promise to move away from sporting things next week!) but not on the actual game itself. The England Rugby team got fined £2000 last week for the way that they faced the Haka (https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/50235925). In this QT we look at the All Black Haka (haka means “fierce dance”) and also discover what focussing on character did for the results of the New Zealand Rugby team (SPOILER: Results went through the roof!)

Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunities that an education bring us. We pray that this school is characterised by togetherness and unity. Please help this place to be a place of warmth and respect. Where there is sadness, help us bring joy. Where there is despair, help us bring hope. Where there is darkness, help us bring light. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
God bless and have a great week!
