9 July 2018

Week beginning July 9th

Welcome to the final week of normal lessons! May I take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to you for your help and support as we try to help our young people grow in wisdom, courage and compassion. Last week it was incredibly encouraging to hear the numerous stories of stunning character in the Celebration of Achievement assemblies.

During this final week our assemblies will focus on Learning Enrichment Week and the Duke of Edinburgh award. Later in the week we will also have a Marine Biologist from Exeter University who will come and share with us about his time in Australia studying the Great Barrier Reef.

The final QT of the year is designed to be a little provocative as it looks at mobile phones. We live in a world which is becoming a little obsessed with screens. Are we watching too much? Ironically, to help reflect on this… Watch this video (!?)

Heavenly Father, thank you for the incredible world you created and for all the amazing people you have handmade. Please help us to strike a balance so that we can make the most of all the opportunities you give us. Amen

God bless and have a great Summer!!!
