Year 8 Faraday Challenge Winners
Year 8 Faraday Challenge Winners.
Six Year 8 students took part in the Exeter round of the Faraday Challenge on Friday where they competed against 5 other local schools. Our students were a real credit to St. Peter’s, showing great use of Character habits throughout the day. They rose to the challenge and designed and prototyped a new attraction for Thorpe Park with enthusiasm and creativity. The students really impressed the judging panel with their confident presentation at the end of the day and were the overall winners for the Exeter area. We came away with a wonderful trophy, certificates, goody bags from the main sponsors Arconic and amazon vouchers to say well done for all of their hard work.
The Institute of Engineering & Technology run around 160 challenge days through the year all over the UK. The St. Peter’s team is now in the top 10 on the national leader board though we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to find out if they’ve made it through to the National Finals held at Thorpe Park. Well done to all who took part.
