Open Day and Open Evening are an opportunity for prospective students and their parents to look around St Peter’s and find out all the information they need, before applying for a place at secondary school.
During the day we run regular, student-led, tours of the school, which enable prospective students and their parents to see the school during the normal working day. They are free to go into classrooms, watch lessons, ask questions and talk to students. In addition, the Senior Leadership Team are also available to talk to parents and any enquiries about admissions criteria can be addressed by one of the school’s governors.
During the evening, the school is open for prospective students and their parents, to look at displays and demonstrations in all the subject areas. There is also a short presentation in the main hall given by the Headteacher, Chair of Governors and the Principal Students. Throughout the evening staff, governors and students are available at Information Points and within subject areas, to provide information and answer questions.
