History Trip September Update
RE: History Trip 27-28th September Update
Dear Parent/ Carer,
It is not long now until we are due to leave on the above trip on the 27-28 September. I thought I would take this opportunity to remind you of the important itinerary, give you some key information regarding staffing, pass on contact numbers and explain expectations.
We are fortunate to have 6 staff accompanying this trip, myself, Mr Burnham (History), Ms Pragnell (English), Eden Furzer (LSA), Miss Parry (History) and Ms Holohan (a Drama specialist who has attended many trips from her time as the SLL for Drama at St Peter’s to her volunteer role since her retirement a few years ago). I am always very grateful to staff and volunteers who are willing to give up their time to help support enrichment. It is worth noting that both I and Ms Pragnell are First Aid trained.
Whilst on the trip the following contact numbers are available for you to use if you need to get hold of member of staff. Please be mindful that there may be times that I will have to switch off the mobile (during the workshops etc.) but I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. Additionally, each member of staff will be responsible for registering and monitoring 10 specific students, we ask that these students pass on their mobile numbers on a sheet of paper so that if we ever get separated we can contact them. These sheets will be destroyed on our return to school. We also ask students to key in the emergency numbers into their phone so they can contact us if they have a problem. We tend to do this on the coach but the numbers should not change so this can be done now.
Key Contact Numbers:
School Hours: 01392204764
School Mobile (with trip leader): Please see email
SLT CONTACT: TBC
Due to the high number of students we have had to adjust the plan for the two days. For example, we have an early start to allow for the workshop and a later finish to allow for a stop at Hampton Court Palace. The following is a rough itinerary which we will endeavour to keep by, but we are always mindful of London traffic. Therefore, please be prepared for any changes to the return journey as we might encounter problems. I will be asking students to text parents with an ETA and will put up notices to the school facebook page about any changes.
