March 15th, Year 11 Newsletter
This week over a hundred of our year 11 students attended an exams work shop for GCSE History. A big thank you to the History department for organising this and a thank you to all of our students for their exemplary behaviour.
From Monday year 11 will be allowed to order their Leavers’ Hoodie. This year we have a choice of 6 colours (French navy, burgundy, white, baby pink, baby blue and charcoal). Students get the option to personalise their hoodie with initials, name or nickname. They need to complete an order form and return it to the finance office with a payment of £17, cash or cheque (made to Devon County) no later than Friday 29th March.
Just a reminder that on Thursday 21st March we have a guest presenter coming in to run a session on Anxiety Management – This session will help to support with stress and anxiety management for revision, exams and beyond. A range of practical hints and tips will be discussed which I hope students will be able use. It will take place from 3.30-4.30pm in the school hall and all students (and parents) are invited. Well worth taking advantage of and I hope to see lots of our students there.
We are all fully aware of how quickly the time is going and the GCSEs are fast approaching. If you feel your child needs any extra support please get in touch and we will also be happy to give advice about how you can support your child at home as well.
