10th December 2018

7 December 2018

This week we have Celebration of Achievement assemblies on Monday and Tuesday and later in the week we will continue with our “Christmas at the Movies” series. A couple of dates for you, Monday 17th December is our annual Carol Service at Exeter Cathedral starting at 7pm. All are welcome to attend and you will have the added bonus of hearing our new staff choir! The final day of term (Friday 21st Dec) it will be a non-uniform day with encouragement for as many as possible to get their Christmas jumpers out!!!

The QT this week is slightly different and not in the normal format. We have received the following e-mail below from Network Rail:

F.A.O Safeguarding Team

Due to the very high level of trespassing on the tracks by young people in your area, we urgently need you to please share this engaging video with your teachers to show in class asap before more young people are seriously injured or lives are lost.

The session is led by a safety manager from Network Rail and explains in less than 15 mins why it is really important to stay safe near the track

As a result we’d like you to show this video to your tutor group. To access the video you will need to click on the above link and put in a couple of details e.g name, school, e-mail address (please don’t worry, they don’t send you loads of trash (I’ve only had one I can ignore!). The They are trying to track how many have watched the video).

For year 7’s and sensitive year 8’s, you may find that the primary talk maybe more appropriate:

Here is a prayer for you to help you close your time together in tutor:

Heavenly Father, please help us to make wise and sensible choices. Help us to follow rules and instructions and to look out for others who are making poor decisions. We pray that we would be community who listens and responds in the wisest way. Amen

God bless and have a great weekend
