11th February 2019
Week beginning 11th February
On Monday and Tuesday we will be conducting our half-termly Celebration of Achievement assemblies. In addition, on Monday will (technology permitting!?!) be speaking to Lee Spencer live from the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
Friday 15th February is a non-school uniform day and in exchange for a suggested minimum donation of £1, students may wear their own clothes. Please however remember the following advice:
It is important to make it clear that students must still wear appropriate clothing for a school day. The day remains a normal school day so all other expectations regarding the wearing of sensible shoes, non-revealing clothes, levels of makeup, jewellery and hairstyles which form part of the school uniform policy will still apply.
Thursday 5th February was Safer Internet Day and in the QT for this week we want students to take a moment to stop and think about whether they are safe online. There’s a quiz, a Key Stage appropriate video (click on KS3 for Years 7&8, KS4 for 9,10&11), a further task and the opportunity to reflect on our own internet use. You can find the PPT and video here:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the amazing advances in technology in recent years. Thank you for the wonderful resource of the Internet. We ask that you help us to use it wisely – to broaden our minds, not to harm others. Amen
God bless and have a great week
