26 April 2019

Week beginning 29th April

I hope and pray that the first week back wasn’t too much of a shock to the system! During this half term our series is:

We’re looking at some of the questionable decisions people make and seeing what lessons we can learn from them. How can we avoid making the same mistakes and are there measures we can take now to help us in the future? This week in Key Stage assemblies we will be looking at the problems that can occur when people lack self-control.

In the QT for this week we look at what a 24 year old Norwegian lady managed to achieve in just 2 years. Therese Trollbu decided that she wanted to learn the violin and periodically filmed herself over 2 years. The results are quite staggering. Hopefully the video will help our young people realise what a little commitment and dedication can achieve. You can view the video here:

Heavenly Father, thank you for this story that shows us that human beings are capable of great things with a little effort and dedication. Help us to be people who persevere and realise our God-given potential both in and out of the classroom. Amen

God bless

Mr Baker
