Poetry by The Sea: Listening to Simon Armitage

A group of our year 11 students had the exciting opportunity to hear from the Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage. Last Friday, we travelled down to Budeligh Salterton as the event was part of the Budleigh Salterton literary festival. Simon shared several of his poems and also talked about the inspiration behind them. He was an engaging and powerful speaker. This was followed by a Q and A session and some of our students had the chance to ask him about his work and have copies of his latest poetry collection signed.
