The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is the world’s leading youth achievement award, giving millions of 14 to 24-year-olds the opportunity to be the very best they can be.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an internationally recognised award which enables young people to gain a huge range of skills and experiences. At St. Peter’s we offer the Bronze award to all of year 9 and the Silver to year 10. The award takes approximately 6 months to complete. It is made up of 4 sections, Physical, Skills, Volunteering and Expedition. The Expedition usually takes place in the summer term. We ask that participants complete 2 of their sections to be able to participate in the Expedition. Through the award, participants learn resilience, independence, team skills, navigation skills, resourcefulness, patience, tolerance and much more!
