The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an internationally recognised award which enables young people to gain a huge range of skills and experiences. At St. Peter’s we offer the Bronze award to all of year 9 and the Silver to year 10. The award takes approximately 6 months to complete. It is made up of 4 sections, Physical, Skills, Volunteering and Expedition. The Expedition usually takes place in the summer term. We ask that participants complete 2 of their sections to be able to participate in the Expedition. Through the award, participants learn resilience, independence, team skills, navigation skills, resourcefulness, patience, tolerance and much more!

Please speak to Miss Ratcliffe, D of E Manager in L39 for more information.
