Ten Tors 2025 St Peter’s Teams Triumph in Glorious Conditions
Another unforgettable Ten Tors weekend for St Peter’s Exeter saw three incredibly strong 35-mile teams successfully completing the challenge. It was a phenomenal achievement that speaks volumes about their dedication, teamwork, and resilience.
After months of intense training across Dartmoor’s toughest terrain, St Peter’s proudly entered three 35-mile teams into this year’s event:
Team A (CY): Charlie (Team Leader), Rex, Brent, Marli, Benett, and Henry
Team B (DQ): Lydia (Team Leader), Liv, Hannah, Elliott, Fraser, and Jayden
Team C (EI): Martha (Team Leader), Libby, Faith, David, Alfie, and Aron
All three teams set off under clear blue skies on a hot and glorious Saturday. A refreshing breeze helped to temper the heat as they tackled the moor. Some experienced light showers on Saturday night and there were scattered patches of rain on Sunday, but overall the weather was remarkably kind and provided a bright and beautiful backdrop for the most iconic outdoor youth challenge in the country.
This year’s success was built on months of wet and often gruelling training. Those experiences forged the determination, navigation skills, and group cohesion that came to define this cohort. Each team pulled together brilliantly, sharing loads, encouraging one another, and pressing on mile after mile. It was a real credit to the spirit of Ten Tors and to St Peter’s.
A huge thank you must go to our dedicated reservists. Emily and Evie were ready to step in at any moment. Your commendable commitment ensured the strength and stability of all our teams right up to the starting line.
The finish line was once again filled with cheers, proud parents, brothers and sisters and waves of emotion as our teams marched in. They completed their routes with dignity, grit, and pride. The atmosphere was electric, made even more special by the presence of so many spectators and family supporters.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible St Peter’s Ten Tors team, and support of The Hele’s Educational Trust, and all those working behind the scenes who make this opportunity possible each year.
But most of all, congratulations to the students. Your hard work, resilience, and team spirit have earned you not just the medal, but a memory that will stay with you for life. We hope this is only the beginning of your adventures in the outdoors.
Well done, Team St Peter’s Ten Tors 2025 was yours!
