A Bitter Draught

We certainly can’t complain about the weather on Saturday 13th December – blue skies accompanied our walk across North Dartmoor, though a bitterly cold wind kept us on our toes throughout. There was little shelter to be found, as the route steered clear of any watercourses and took us over the highest points on the moor, including High Willhays and Yes Tor. Despite the chill, the 15km walk was thoroughly enjoyable, and the students did a superb job navigating the group around the moor.

The journey back to school had a festive feel, with plenty of Christmas music and singing. That said, the cookies proved far more popular than the mince pies when it came to choosing treats.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas, and well done for your hard work throughout 2025.
